In short
For Kuwait, Qaid defaults to KWD as the base currency, applies no VAT (Kuwait has not introduced VAT), disables Zakat, and ships payroll rules for Kuwait. Invoices, receipts, bank-statement import and all reports work the same as elsewhere.

VAT in Kuwait
Kuwait signed the GCC VAT framework in 2017 but has not implemented VAT. As of 2026 there is no VAT in Kuwait and the government's published plans rule it out before 2028; excise taxes on selected goods have been discussed instead. Qaid therefore applies no VAT by default for Kuwaiti companies. If that changes, the rate is a single editable setting. Corporate tax in Kuwait
Companies wholly owned by Kuwaiti or GCC nationals are generally not subject to Kuwait corporate income tax; foreign-owned entities carrying on business in Kuwait are taxed at 15%, and from 2025 large multinational groups fall under a 15% domestic minimum top-up tax. Qaid's income-tax provision defaults to 0% for Kuwait and can be set to any rate your adviser specifies. Source: PwC Worldwide Tax Summaries — Kuwait, taxes on corporate income.
Payroll in Kuwait
Qaid's payroll module records salaries, allowances and deductions per employee and posts each run to the ledger using a Kuwait rule preset. Treatment of nationals versus expatriates (for social-insurance style contributions) and end-of-service accruals follow the preset, which you can review and adjust. Qaid does not submit anything to PIFSS or the Ministry of Social Affairs.

- Import KFH, NBK, Boubyan or any bank's CSV/Excel statement and reconcile it. (Expense tracking)
- Issue KWD invoices with your company details and share a link or PDF. (Invoicing)
- Foreign-currency purchases (USD software, AED suppliers) are converted to KWD at the transaction-date rate.
